It has a number a features that make it a work of art. The volute climbs and twists up though the lower curved section of the stair transitions with a long over easing continues straight for 5 treads and a long up easing and then twists up through the upper curved section and finally overhand easing to a radius level balcony and finishes "V" d into a round Rail Cap at the wall.
Simple....
I would love to seen the stair builders drawings on this rail.
Also notice how the balusters upper block follows the handrail
perfectly everywhere.
The volute post is also quite unique in itself, hollow turned with a spiral rod through the center
