180 Stair

I really like this design, it takes a simple space and turns it into a dramatic staircase and handrail system.

The beaded panel octagon starting newel post and "Rail Cap" is a great start to this handrail as winds its way up to the 2nd floor.

The handrail profile is the standard of the time 'Toad Back"
and looks to be about 4" wide.

The staircase it self is not a easy one to build, with each tread being unique in size and shape and it may not pass current codes.

In this view you can see the large amount of design that went into the stair layout and design. Looking at the handrail you can see the different segments that combined make up this breathe taking handrail.

That is some serious twisting and turning as the handrail flows down the stairs to the "Rail Cap"
below mounted on top of a Octagon newel post

Great view of the Octagon starting newel post with the "Rail Cap " fitting, and stair bracket detailing.
