I think this is my favorite "Twisted Volute" picture I've seen, just the overall size and look is perfect.
The Cuir Tail bullnose starting step was also almost a standard during this period, it allowed for a long sweep of the volute arm adding a more graceful fall around the eye of the volute. Not to mention you could jam in a dozen or balusters under the volute.

The stair bracket detail simple but very elegant and carries onto the bottom of the upper stair. This is very nice detail and I'm sure not easy to manufacture.
The combination of twisted and barley twisted baluster fill each tread with a lot to look at.
The design and layout of this "Twisted Volute is about perfect and fits this house well.
